Thinking of buying Amazon's Kindle. If you have one, what do you think of it? So far, I'm impressed by what it does, how many books it holds, the many features... it seems like a really good deal for the price, too. I'd love to hear your input.
Thanks!
UPDATE:
Here's what has me hesitating to get the Kindle: Ebook License "Agreements" Are a Ripoff
What I don't want to do is have to pay to replace my library when Amazon changes formats in the future. Just like the LP :: 8-track :: cassette tape :: compact disk upgrades, I'm not willing to invest hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in a format. I want to know that whatever I buy now, I'll be able to use in 25 years. What do you think?
I have a Kindle and worry about the DRM deal. If my Kindle dies, I can only get another Kindle to read the books I've bought, and that kinda blows.
And I was one of the people who had their Orwell books "taken back." They have gone out of their way to make up for that, but it was kind of creepy.
There are a few other ebook readers out there that don't have the proprietary thing going on. Check out the Sony's at Borders or the Barnes and Noble nook.
Either way, make sure to get one with the eInk display. It really is a lot easier one the eyes than any LCD or OLED.
